Once again, Storming Robots team won the 1st Place in RCJ USA Level. For the third straight year to be invited to compete at the world arena.
One of its team will represent the USA to compete at the RCJ World Tournament which will be held in the historical city Istanbul of Turkey, from July 6th to 11th.
Storming Robots’ team, named PI2, consisting two 7th graders from Bridgewater township. They will compete against other young students from over 30 different countries including China, Japan and Germany, etc. In addition, they will also have to collaborate with another international team to compete with other teams as well. One team member said, “Google – translate tool will come in handy for us! ”. Many of these tasks attempt to simulate real world problems in a dynamic simulation of rescuing victims from a natural disaster.
RCJ truly is an extraordinary event which stands apart from other robotics programs for young students. The World Tournament of RCJ takes place in conjunction with RoboCup, which is attended by hundreds of research scientists and engineers from around the world. Interfacing with these researchers truly sparks inspiration and interests in engineering among these young children. Some of them include kids-size to adults-size humanoids, even microrobots on the order of the diameter of a human hair facing off in tests of speed and agility.
These RoboCupJunior participants are among the many talented students who attend Storming Robots weekly to develop their robotics knowledge throughout the school year. Besides school year programs, Storming Robots also provides summer robotics camp. To contact Storming Robots: admin@stormingrobots.com. http://www.stormingrobots.com

| Our first Newsletter about our Robotics Community |
As we all are well aware of the problem about the fact that most engineers do not like to write. However, the ability to express one’s thought in a well-analyzed, seasoned, and articulated way will be a robust tool to future success.
Therefore, Storming Robots launched our newsletter group in the late Fall of 2010.
Its first Editor in Chief is Michelle Lu, one of our current high school students. We hope this will be the start, the first issue, of a successful publication. All our roboclub students are invited to write or suggest to us their robotics-related stories, thoughts, articles, competitions, jokes, comics, anything!
We have not got the space to publish robotics projects done by our high schoolers in this issue. However, they will be in the next issue which will be out around the mid of April.
Students (from grade 3 to 10) contributed in this issue:
Michelle Lu (Editor in Chief)
Andre Gou
Hugh Zhang
Howard Hua
Salil Pathare
Seriozha Zakharkin
Val Post
Ananya Baljai
Eric Ward (from archive)
Rachel Goldman (from archive)
