Again, we shall gather all of our roboclub members who will volunteer to present one of their latest robotics projects.  The configuration will be very much like a typical science fair, except this is robotic oriented. 

Our roboclub continues growing. In the Fall of 2009, we have over 80 members  (vs. 60 in the Fall of 2008).  Due to the large volume of students and parents, we are currently seeking a perfect location for this event.

For members

1. Do I have to be currently attending roboclub in order to do a demo?  You must be our roboclub members in some terms in the past years, not necessarily the current term.   If you have accomplished a robotics project on your own and would like to demonstrate them, please contact Elizabeth Mabrey ASAP.  The decision will base on the level of autonomy and completion.   

Submit your interest to participate!

• All our roboclub participants (current and past) are encouraged to display their creation.  If interested, you must submit your intent to us via email.  You will be notified with the technical details shortly after we receive your intent of interest.
• All work must be approved by our Director, and a panel of technical instructors.
• Save the tree! Do not send in paper yet. Simply email to us.

For Non-members:

1. Any Free Play? No.   This is meant to be an eye-opening event for everyone, promote robotics education and about the cool stuffs our roboclub kids have done lately.  We shall not be able to facilitate freeplay.
2. Do parents need to stay with their children at all times?  YES.  If you come in with other young relatives and friends, you MUST stay with them (non-Storming Robots students) at all time.
3. Allow walk-in?  Yes, but need to submit a small admission fee. More information will become available when it approaches the month of May.

Past Events:

June 21st of 2009.
Over 40 projects were presented.
Event was held at the Cedar Hill Preparatory School located in Somerset.

Although we have a lot more people attended than 2008, this event has turned out to be much more successful. We had more than twice as many as projects presented, thus there were a lot more visitors than 2008's event. However, we managed to control the traffic and turned out to be much smoothier than last year event.

In addition, members had a Sumo Challenge Game at the end. It was awesome!

Projects range from a simple 4-legged giraffe, to a sophisticated Geo-Caching robot.

Our first annual Robotic Expo Event.
Over 20 projects were being presented.
Event was held at the Cedar Hill Preparatory School located in Somerset.

We had a lot more people attended this event than we have anticipated. Therefore,  it was a bit hectic. However, our roboclub students were thrilled to show off their work, as well as got to see what the older students have accomplished. Truly inspiring!
