Robotics Fun With Math!

This course utilizes curriculum developed by the Robotics Academy of the Carnegie Mellon University,
and enhanced by the Robotics Mindstorms Technology expert from Storming
Robots. Projects are filled with real science facts, mathematical proofs and investigations. Continuous
open-ended design challenges are conducted with true
engineering process in order to strengthen problem-solving,
intricate analysis, and teamwork.
PreRequisites:
- Proficient in Arithematics such as Average,
Fractions, and Decimal Places operations.
- Should know about ratio, area and circumference of
basic geometric shapes.

"Circuit UP" your Rover!

Learn Circuitry by doing!
This workshop will fill with many exciting projects such as AM
radios, burglar alarms, doorbells and much more! By the end of the
workshop, participants will be familiar with writing schematics and
the rudimentary knowledge about circuit components and common
designs with series vs parallel.
In addition, students will learn the fundamental mechanical
concepts on building a strong rover, and the significance of math
application.
To conclude the workshop, students will apply your circuitry
knowledge to complete the circuit for a rover. There is no soldering
required as all the parts snap together with ease. Once completed,
you will be able to navigate your surroundings with rover remote
control.
Option to bring the Snap RC Rover home at $90.

PreRobotics Mission Mars

Alien Encounter leads you through the exciting adventures of LEGO®
astronauts who have crash-landed on an alien planet, where they have
to work through a series of space difficulties in order to survive.
For those who love math, this will be a great opportunity to see how
that math is used to help reolving difficult robotics challenges,
and much more.

Camp begins with an evaluation of playing
ability. You will continue to be challenged even if you have
taken previous Chess Master classes. A post-camp written
evaluation will be completed to show your progress. Students are
grouped based on age, experience, instructor evaluation, and
session option. All Chess modules will conclude with an exciting
Chess mini-tournament . All participants will receive medal,
while the best performer will receive best performer trophy.

Engineering Track
Circuitry & Robotic Sessions
Time: 1P-4P
Grades: Grade 2-6 Tuition/wk:$270
Special: $40 off if combined with AM/Chess Circuitry: Utilize the
Award Winning Circuitry learning tool to allow children to grasp
the basic principles of electronics, simple circuitry schematics
, and ngaged in building electronic gadgets, such as burglar
alarms, doorbells and much more! Classes will be concluded with
the "Best" circuitry design contest .
Robotic: Learn about the
basic mechanics in building robots and automate them to simulate
human actions and behaviors. All students will keep a daily
engineering journal.

Special Music ProgramAnother spatial-temporal reasoning skill building activities!
Fun Music program FREE for campers who
sign up both AM & PM sessions with a week.
Raritan Music Center
will have a professional teaching staff available for daily
music lessons. A wide variety of fun and educational activities
will be offered to engage the campers. Prior music training is
not necessary, but can also be accommodated.
