Independent workshops will be right for your if :
- You want to join our weekly roboclub, but cannot commit to the weekly schedule.
- You are interested in taking one time to try it out.
- You want to join our weekly roboclub in the middle of the term,
but have never had robotics experience with Mindstorms before.

Robotics Programming - 01 |
$55 |
- 9am-12pm
- Grades: 4 to 6
- No materials fee
- Pre-requisite: Highly Proficient in Grade 4+ Math, Reading, & Writing
|
Utilizing the most popular robotics learning tool, Mindstorms, you will learn the rudimentary
level in mechanical building tips, and true programming concepts for automating motion navigation,
and light sensor control.
Building focuses on understanding the functionality, but not just
spoon-feeding type of copy.
Learning
the fundamentals in gear transmission system in terms of torque and speed.
About programming, you will learn the basic true programming structure,
and learn about what it takes to command your robot to react to its
environment. It is perfect for you if you:
- have no experience in robotics and would like to explore;
- want to join our roboclub, but miss the beginner sessions;
- have little experience, but would like to do more
reinforcement.

Robotics with mechanical
math - The preliminary |
$65 |
- 12:30-3:30pm
- Grades: 6-9
- No materials fee
- Pre-requisite:
- Pre-algebra
- middle school Geometry
- Ratio & Proportion
|
Are you a math whiz!? Now, you know Pythagoras Theorem, Basic
Geometry, and find algebra fun, but do you know how this is
applied in Robotics Engineering?
You will work with instructor(s) who have had years of robotics
competitions experience. You learn to apply the math algorithm during
design phase, instead of counting on mostly trials and errors, or
ad-hoc methods.
If you have no or little programming
background, you will explore the true programming
concepts for automating motion navigation, and basic sensor control.
It is perfect for you if you:
- enjoy mathematics application;
- want to join our roboclub, but miss the beginner sessions.

Robotics Scavenger Hunt |
$239 |
Material Fees: none |
Come ot learn the fundamental algorithm in building and
programming your robot with sensors feedback to be intelligent
enough to find its way out of a linear maze.
Goal: Introduce students to: • Programming mobile robots
• Applying measurement and geometry to calculate robot
navigation • Path planning using both geometry and multiple
sensor feedback • Interpreting sensor feedback/calculating
threshold values/understanding conditional statements •
Systems and systems analysis • Experimental process •
Documenting and explaining the results of their testing
Navigate your robot and try to beat our shortest time.
