Robotics and Programming Learning with flexible schedule.
Advanced your robotics and algorithmic programming skills (for Novice and Experienced).
Facilitate the need for both distance and in-person learning.
Our summer S.T.E.M programs are structured with engineering disciplines and exercise higher-order thinking. Workshops are designed to challenge talented youth to their full potential; build student proficiency in the critical thinking, and programming skills that are essential for academic success at any level.
(For Gr. 7-12) Weekly Full-day Schedule with focus on software development, robotics and electronic, and advanved learning in computer vision. Mon-Fri : 9am to 3pm.
(For Gr. 7-12) Two or three 2-hr instructor-led classes per week for 4/5 weeks. In additional to the regular instructor-led class time, there will be additional Lab Hours with technical assistance.
(Gr. 5 to 8) Total of 30 robotics projects hours that you may allocate for one to six weeks. Student will also take home their robots as well.
In-person: Full-Day Program: 9AM to 3PM, unless specified otherwise.
Online: It varies by program.
Flex-Challenge: (only for upcoming Gr.5 to 8). Select from 9AM to 3PM
4-6 students per instructor. Instructors are robotics, software development enthusiasts, including USACO Silver/Gold receipents, robotics competitions winners.
Go-Green and Being Eco-friendly!
All workshops information are accessible only online. Online registration is required.
Each student will receive an individualized performance report, and recommendation for further development to strengthen students background in robotics and computer science.
In the case of Covid-19 resurgence, all classes will switch to online schedule. If you choose not to switch, you will receive full refund.
Students have opportunity to present a tech-talk to not only parents, but also other SR students via online presentation followed by Q&A.
Storming Robots is located within the same complex with an Urgent Medical Care Unit (less than one minute walk), as well as Family Doctors office.
Three categories - Gr.9+ Robotics with Electronic.Gr.8+ Computer Science. Gr.7-8 Jr. Robotics Projects (Adv. Group).
(Gr.8+) Following our proven excellent record throughout the school year, students continue to advance their programming skills with algorithmic thinking.
You will find classes from level B to II. Here shows the syllabus. This class takes progressive approach. That means students will learn by their own pace and meet their full potentials.
(For 9+) Enable students to pursue more challenging robotics projects with electronic - equip individuals to conduct personal projects, robotics competition, and gaining a head-start in college engineering. Two weeks classes - Level I and II.
(For Gr.8+) Utilize digital images from cameras to accurately identify and classify objects — and then react to what they “see". Two weeks classes - Level I and II.
(For 8+) Learn an algorithm to figure out every best move to optimize its chance of victory in a two-player game. Implement search algorithms used as a prototype for other complex games, such as chess.
This workshop teaches the essential ideas of Computer Sciences to students with no or very little prior-experience. While this course focuses for the beginners, it also brings them to understand further through exercises with computational thinking, not just the syntax of Java.
(For Grade 8th+ grade).
For those who wish to continue advancing their software development and robotics programming skills.
Please do review the description and prerequisites of the workshop that you are interested in before signing up.
(Gr.8+) Following our proven excellent record throughout school year, students continue to advance their programming skills with algorithmic thinking - level B to II.
Robotics simulation has become a crucial integral part of a robust robotics platform. It tailors to individuals who are interested in robotics programming and would like to focus on algorithms development than hardware.
(For Gr.8+) Utilize digital images from cameras to accurately identify and classify objects — and then react to what they “see". Two weeks classes - Level I and II.
In-Person for students (5th to 7th grade).
Seeking a result-oriented and hands-on robotics programming learning opportunity, but need to have a flexible schedule.
Will take home the robot! You have an option to choose an opensource platform - Makeblock (New. Retail value of approx. $150), or LEGO Mindstorms-NXT (Used. Discontinued with retail value of approx. $150).
