Dennis has had over fifteen years of system and application level software
engineering experience in the highly competitive software development
industry. Before starting the endeavor to build Storming Robots, he was one of the very few top-rated Senior Consultants at Microsoft. He has great passion in just about anything challenging in computer industry. Throughout his years as senior software consultant, he has made significant contribution and taken leading roles in some very high profile companies' both software and hardware infrastructure.
He was a "go-to-guy" and "renaissance man" among his technical peers and executives.
Dennis received B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Delaware. |

Elizabeth is the founder of Storming Robots Technology Learning Lab. She has 14+ years' enterprise and system level of software engineering experience and has held senior software-architecture positions with Fortune 500 companies. Her role includes not only overseeing development and operations of programs at the center, but also teaching the advanced groups in competitions and mentoring independent projects. While she enjoyed mentoring students to lead others, either competitive teams, or instructors, she is still deeply a software engineer in heart. She is among the 160 recipients of the the Presidential Scholars Program’s Distinguished Teachers Award in 2019. She has been an active member in the AI-oriented RobocupJunior International Technical Committee between 2012 and 2014, 2019 to present. She currently is one of the Board member of the Raritan Valley Math Group. She received her Masters of Science in Computer Science from Drexel University. She firmly believes in an application-based robotics curriculum as a tool for helping our children meet unpredictable challenges in the future global market. Capitalizing creativity with engineering disciplines is the foundation for building our next generation. She has created a systematic learning roadmap, and a unique Algorithms in C/C++ syllabus as pathway to allow many students to strive in their own STEM interests. Elizabeth hopes more institutions will replicate Storming Robots' efforts and achievements to equip a new generation with strong, analytical-thinking skills. Why Storming Robots: While she loved working in the dynamic, corporate technological environment, one of her ambitions is to be part of something that might potentially impact others - part of bigger than herself. She found working 60+ hours weekly purely for profit company rather than more meaningful purposes simply didn't suit her aspirations to be a positive influence. Throughout her children's primary school years, due to lack of challenge from school, she semi-homeschooled her children. That means she spent early evening and part of weekends to work with her children with challenging academic materials, while they attended regular school classes during weekdays. Her children have become independent learners since late middle school. Her sons obtained their Masters of Science in Aerospace and Bachelors of Science in Molecular chemistry, from Cornell and UPenn, respectively. Both have successfully pursued exciting careers in the corporate world. Meanwhile, her nephew, like her 3rd son, became an up-and-coming software freelancer. As a first-generation immigrant to the U.S., she felt sincere gratitude for the opportunities this country has offered her. Her children's independency and husband's encouragement have allowed her to pursue her a new path to make a difference. |

Michael earned his Masters Degree in 2015 from Purdue University in Instructional Design with a focus on improving technology education. He received his Bachelors Degree in Technology Education from the College of New Jersey in 2007 and has been teaching at East Brunswick High School since then. Having great passion for both all things in electrical and helping others to understand since childhood, Michael transformed the program at the high school to cover from basic analog circuits all the way through modern wireless control technology. While teaching, he spent several years volunteering for and organizing robotics competitions for FIRST and Vex competitions, mentoring teams, and helping develop robotics courses for after school and summer programs. Enjoying spending time with his new family in 2015, he is excited to join Storming Robots to continue on expanding his electronic engineering pedagogy knowledge-base through the extracurricular robotics world. Outside of robotics, he has spent several years volunteering as an EMT and enjoys the occasional outdoor adventure. |
