Storming Robots offers unique, customized robotics enrichment workshops for Gifted and Talented groups. Each program is carefully tailored to the students’ grade level, technical background, and available time frame to provide an engaging, intellectually stimulating, and age-appropriate STEM learning experience that emphasizes computational thinking, authentic programming, and collaborative problem-solving.
Key Activities
- Grade-appropriate engineering concepts — either conceptual or applied; but can be tailored for students with advacned experience as well.
- Robotics activities with opensource Arduino-based software.
- Built on authentic programming, analytical problem-solving, and engineering-based thinking through hands-on robotics challenges that emphasize computational thinking, strategy development, debugging,and design
- Program with the text-based Arduino-C (mostly C++).
- Motivational contests spark interest.
- Students work cooperatively in teams to develop and carry out plans, troubleshooting problems as they arise.
